Zylaya's executive leadership team has significant managerial, business and technical expertise.

Robert Troutman, Chief Executive Officer 

Mr. Troutman was one of the founders of Visual Networks, Inc., helping to build the company from the initial idea through a successful public offering.  Prior to Visual Networks, Mr. Troutman was Director of Engineering for TTC (now JDSU). Subsequent to Visual, Mr. Troutman served as Director of Hardware Engineering for Current Technologies, LLC, a broadband-over-powerline product and service provider.

Mr. Troutman has experience in the investing side of the business, serving as a managing partner in The Hatch Group, an angel investing partnership, and as a general partner in the Maryland Angels Council. He has served on several companies’ boards of directors as an investor representative.

Mr. Troutman is actively engaged in the non-profit sector as well, serving from 2000-2007 as a Trustee of the Montgomery County Community Foundation and from 2003-2006 as the Chairman of its Grants Committee. He is a co-founder of and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Non-Profit Village, Inc., a non-profit multi-tenant facility being developed in Montgomery County, MD.

Mr. Troutman earned his BSE at Princeton University.
